Each Wednesday evening in December we will be gathering in Congdon Hall for a delicious home-made meal and a short devotion. Families, friends, neighbors are all invited. You may come each Wednesday or come when you can. This promises to be a good time. The entire evening should last about an hour.

December 5    1pm     Ladle Fellowship

Ladle Fellowship, located at First Presbyterian Church of San Diego, has been serving San Diego's homeless community with hot meals and clothing since 1983. Services have been limited since the COVID19 pandemic, however, now many restrictions have been lifted, and Ladle is again serving guests. Volunteers from churches and the community are always needed. Northminster Presbyterian Church (NPC) has agreed to provide 6 to 8 volunteers every couple of months. If you would like to join others from NPC in helping with this ministry on Dec. 5 from 1-5pm please contact Peggy Brown at 858.614.0107 or nbpb@san.rr.com.

Kindly RSVP toPaula Cunningham.

December 12    4pm   Christmas Caroling

Dust off your car, warm up your voice and drive to church as the sun is setting. NPC is hosting their second annual parking lot drive-in Christmas caroling party.  Guests sit in their car and sing along as Joel and friends lead us in singing some of our favorite carols and popular songs of the season. Song books will be provided. The musicians will be on the grassy area in front of Congdon Hall and will be broadcasting the music so we can all hear it in our cars.  Rumor has it that the ‘cookie baker and her helpers’ have already begun baking and will have a bag of treats for each person attending! You might want to bring your own drinks. This is a fun event for the whole family, so bring the kids, relatives, and friends and come join in some Christmas caroling with your NPC family!

December 19   Cookie Exchange and Potluck

Our annual cookie exchange promises to be bigger and better this year. Everyone is invited to participate. Mix up your favorite cookie recipe, and bake 3 dozen cookies, wrap or bag them in groups of 2 and label them as to which recipe you used. A potluck lunch is planned before the exchange, so please bring a favorite dish to share. You may drop off both your items in Congdon Hall before church. Please contact Rechelle for more details.  After church, we will gather in Congdon Hall for a potluck lunch followed by the cookie exchange. Each participant in the cookie exchange will go home with a variety of goodies. This is a great way to have an assortment of sweets to enjoy without having to do a lot of baking. Maybe there will be enough cookies so that some can be sampled at the potluck!
