Christmas in Narnia 2023 at Northminster Presbyterian Church!

The Christmas in Narnia 2023 at Northminster Presbyterian Church event combines the beautiful Christmas English Tea our church has hosted for many years with an interactive experience based on C.S. Lewis’s "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.” We are hosting over 250 guests from our Clairemont community! We will recreate part of the journey made by the protagonists in the book. Our guests will step through a wardrobe of fur coats and into a winter forest to start the journey of adventure and redemption described in the book.

Why host this event when most Christian churches celebrate with depictions of the birth of Jesus at this time of year? C.S. Lewis was a respected author, professor, and theologian. He held academic positions in English literature at both Oxford and Cambridge University. He authored the Narnia books for his young niece, Lucy, in the 1950s. The books were written as gospel allegories to explain the Christian faith and God’s love for the world. The character of Aslan the Lion in the books represents Jesus and His loving sacrifice so that we may enjoy a personal relationship with him and eternal life!

This event aims to let the community of Clairemont know we are here to serve and love them. We are here to be a “light” to those who want to learn more about God and the Christian faith.

Event will be held on: November 25, 2023 9:30-4:00pm

Sign up: schedule will be posted on our website in late October.

Help with this event is needed. If interested please contact NPC 858 490-3995
